Friends of Cuscowilla is a designated recipient of funds generated this year. We will be working at the festival to earn that contribution. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event and are required for admission.

Earth Day at Cuscowilla

Teacher Training: Aquatic Wild

Friends of Cuscowilla is excited to host several teacher training workshops in the newly renovated Nature Education Center at Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center. Teachers will be exploring pond and upland ecosystems using the Florida Project Wild/Aquatic Wild curriculum. Stipends and instructional materials will be provided to all participants. Registration is required and can be made by scanning the QR code below.

Friends of Cuscowilla is excited to host several teacher training workshops in the newly renovated Nature Education Center at Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center. On March 4, 2023, Cuscowilla Nature and Retreat Center and Friends of Cuscowilla are hosting Growing Up WILD, an early childhood education program, for Alachua County Public School Teachers grades K-2. This program builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature, and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, it provides a foundation for developing positive impressions about nature while also building lifelong social and cognitive skills. Workshop participants will receive a copy of the guide and a certification of completion.
